SMARTPACK PBT
SMARTPACK PBT provides a full implementation of a PBT/PBB-TE solution, which can be used by Telecom Equipment Providers to quickly develop PBT/PBB-TE support as well as accommodate any changes or new features that might arise.
SMARTPACK PBT is a series of SOFTSYSTEM Solutions implementing current accepted PBT and PBB-TE features and standards. As PBT and PBB-TE is still under development and standardisation, the FPGA based reference design is ideal for quickly implementing PBT/PBB-TE support as well as accomodating any changes or new features that might arise.
SMARTPACK PBT solutions are based on TPX3103 Carrier Packet Engine and related SMARTPACK application and mangagement software products. 
Carrier Packet Engines combine packet processing and traffic management in a single chip solution allowing efficient switching and forwarding of various packet data protocols. The Carrier Packet Engine supports not only PBT, but also IP, MPLS, VPLS/PWE3 and Ethernet. It can thus provide a reliable and resilient packet transport layer in support of various packet based services It can also support T-MPLS should this be required to implement a gateway function between various networks.
High-level Driver with API software is provided in both binary and source code to ease integration. The software provides easy to use API interfaces providing an intuitive abstraction from the FPGA design complexities. The software also implements a wide range of forwarding plane functionality in support of PBT providing complete control of the data plane.
