Reference Systems
For each TPACK product, there is a corresponding Reference System available for customer demonstration and evaluation.
A typical Reference System consists of the following items:
- A chip solutions based on an FPGA image and standard FPGA
- Driver API
- Hardware (PCB) board
- TPACK Element Management Software (TEMS)
- Pizza-box mechanics with front access to interfaces
Each Reference System includes a TPACK Element Management Software (TEMS) software package allowing quick and easy configuration and monitoring. TEMS provides an intuitive GUI interface to the functionality of the supported TPACK product allowing customers to quickly attain familiarity with TPACK product capabilities.
Each reference system may be able to support different application (I.E. an MSPP Linecard or a Carrier Ethernet Switch) depending on the actual TPACK product (FPGA image) loaded into the FPGA on the board.
Many Reference Systems have been certified for compliance with Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) recommendations including MEF 9 and MEF 14. MEF Reference Systems also take part in interoperability tests, such as EANTC's Ethernet and MPLS interoperability showcases at MPLS World and Carrier Ethernet World Congress.
The following table provides an overview of available Reference Systems and corresponding TPACK products:
