TPWX3192 Carrier Packet Mapper Engine
The TPWX3192 Carrier Packet Mapper Engine combines the feature sets of the TPW192-S 10 Gbps Ethernet over NG-SONET/SDH Packet Mapper and TPX3100 20Gbps Carrier Packet Engine.
The key features are:
- 20 Gbps full duplex, non-blocking switch capacity
- Use two TPWX3192 devices for monolithic 40 Gbps switching solution
- 10 GE port and 10 FE/GE ports per device
- 1x STS-192/STM-64 and 4x STS-48/STM-16 SONET/SDH interfaces
- Full NG-SONET/SDH support including GFP-F, VCAT and LCAS
- Also support for PPP, X.85 and CCAT
- Multiprotocol support for Carrier Ethernet, IP/MPLS, VPLS/PWE3, PBB-TE/PBT and T-MPLS
- Hardware-based Ethernet and MPLS OAM support
- Low cost RAM technology (no TCAM's)
- Advanced QoS features for Flow identification, policing and scheduling
The TPWX3192 is delivered as a complete binary image for direct download in Altera Stratix III FPGA and includes a high-level driver software with an API for easy integration with your application software.
