TPX2540 Carrier Packet Engine
The TPX2540 Carrier Packet Engine is a combined Carrier Ethernet Switch and Traffic Manager.
The key features are:
- 13 Gbps full duplex, non-blocking switch capacity
- FE/GE ports
- SPI-4.2 interface
- Multiprotocol support for Carrier Ethernet, IP/MPLS, VPLS/PW3
- Ethernet OAM support
- Low cost RAM technology (no TCAM's)
- Advanced QoS features for Flow identification, policing and scheduling
The TPX2540 is delivered as a complete binary image for direct download in Altera Stratix II FPGA and includes a high-level driver software with an API for easy integration with your application software.
As the SMARTPACK products are based on re-programmable FPGA technology TPACK can optionally modify our standard product to meet your specific needs for additional features.
