June 20 2007: COPENHAGEN, DENMARK: TPACK A/S today formally announced the appointment of new members of the executive management team and the board of directors. The new team will be charged with managing TPACK's continuous growth and helping customers integrate TPACK's innovative technology into the expanding market for Carrier Ethernet Equipment.
The existing management team with Peter Viereck as Chief Executive Officer and John Jorgensen as Vice President of Sales and Business Development is complemented by the appointment of three new members: Lars A. Pedersen as Chief Technology Officer, Hartvig Ekner as Vice President of R&D and Thomas Rasmussen as Vice President of Product Line Management.
TPACK also strengthened its board of directors with the appointment of Gregg Borodaty as a new member of the board. Gregg is a veteran from the semiconductor industry, where he most recently served as VP and GM of Vitesse's Network Products Division. Today Gregg is President of Aumnia, a start-up focusing on location based services for mobile devices.
Lars A. Pedersen has recently joined TPACK from a senior management position in Tellabs. Lars has 20 years of experience in the optical telecommunications industry. He has held various senior positions in Engineering, Systems Engineering and Product Planning at NKT Elektronik, DSC Communications and Tellabs. He has a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in Optical Communications and a B.Sc. in Commerce from Copenhagen Business School.
Hartvig Ekner has been a key part of TPACK's success to date. Hartvig has been responsible for system architecture and development of TPACK's latest generation of Carrier Packet Engines, including the latest generation of designs for PBT/PBB-TE and T-MPLS. Before joining TPACK, Hartvig has held several senior system architect positions at companies such as MIPS, LSI Logic and Intel.
Thomas Rasmussen joins TPACK from a position as CTO at startup Tactio. Thomas has over 10 years experience in the telecommunications industry and has held several senior positions in both Engineering and Product Management at Ibsen Photonics, ADC Telecommunications and DSC Communications. Thomas has a Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark in Optical Communications.
