TPACK Is Gold Sponsor of Linley Group Seminar "Carrier Ethernet Design"

Who: TPACK's CTO, Lars A. Pedersen, will present “Carrier Ethernet Technologies in Optical Transport” at this year's Linley Group Seminar - In this presentation TPACK will explain how SOFTSILICON approaches can be used to address the challenges of 100Gbps packet switching and establishment of transparent Ethernet connections over N x 10/40/100Gbps DWDM networks.

What: The first Linley Tech Seminar of the new year, Carrier Ethernet Design, will include leading companies discussing the latest trends in this dynamic market. This one-day technical event will bring you up to date on the latest within system and chip designs for 40/100G Carrier Ethernet switches as well as Optical sub-wavelength switches for transparent Ethernet transport; and relevant chips to be discussed include network processors (NPUs), 10GbE switch chips, and OTN Mappers and cross connects.

“At 100G, the benefit of TPACK’s SOFTSILICON approach to build standard products based on FPGA’s, rather than ASIC’s becomes more pronounced compared to sub 100G,” said Bob Wheeler, senior analyst with The Linley Group.

When: Thursday, January 28, 2010 Seminar: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Reception: 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Where: DoubleTree Hotel, San Jose, California

Registration: The seminar is intended for system designers, network-equipment vendors, OEMs, carriers/service providers, press, and the financial community. Attendance is free to qualified attendees who register by January 22, 2010.
