June 5, 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark: TPACK announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC) Communications Solutions (www.tmcnet.com/comsol) has named the TPWX3192 Carrier Packet Mapper Engine as a recipient of a 2007 Product of the Year Award.
The TPWX3192 is the first product to combine Carrier Ethernet switching and traffic management with SONET/SDH packet mapping in a single integrated device. The TPWX3192 is the first TPACK product to take advantage of the high logic density and low power consumption of Altera’s new line of Stratix® III FPGAs. Based on 65nm manufacturing processes, the Stratix III FPGAs enable the TPWX3192 to accommodate a 20 Gbps Carrier Ethernet switch/traffic manager and a 10 Gbps NG-SONET/SDH packet mapper in a single device. This allows the full range of MEF defined Carrier Ethernet Services to be supported in a compact, single device solution.
