TPACK Switch Bridges Ethernet, MPLS and VPLS

Paris, Feb 9 2006: TPACK is participating as one of 15 vendors in the EANTC MPLS & VPLS Interoperability Hot Stage at the MPLS World Congress, Paris from the 8th to the 10th of February. The Hot Stage is showcasing 30 products that successfully participated in the recently held MPLS & VPLS interoperability event arranged by EANTC with assistance from the University of New Hampshire and endorsed by the MFA Forum.

TPACK’s Millburn 6Gbps Carrier Class Ethernet/MPLS Reference System is being used in the interoperability event. TPACK also successfully participated with the same Reference System in the EANTC Carrier Ethernet interoperability event showcased at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress in Berlin in September 2005. The Reference System is based on TPACK’s unique Carrier Class Ethernet/MPLS Switch technology, which provides logical, configurable switching of Ethernet, MPLS and VPLS with advanced quality of service features, such as shaping, policing and queuing.

Participants in the MPLS & VPLS Interoperability Hot Stage include: Agilent Technologies, Alcatel, BATM Advanced Communications, Ciena Corporation, Cisco Systems, Huawei Technologies, Ixia, Lucent Technologies, MRV Communications, Nortel Networks, RAD Data Communications, Riverstone Networks, Spirent Communications, Tellabs and TPACK.
