T|PACK cordially invites you to visit our stand at the NG-SDH Packet Transition event where we will be previewing our new 10G Ethernet over SONET/SDH solution. Based on the TPX3000 Carrier Class Ethernet/MPLS Packet Switch and the TPW192-S 10G Ethernet over NG-SONET/SDH Packet Mapper, the solution is targeted at 10/20 Gbps Linecards for MSPP platforms as well as MicroMSPPs.

The TPW192-S 10G Ethernet over NG-SONET/SDH Packet Mapper provides both High Order and Low Order VCAT/LCAS as well as CCAT support making it ideal for applications offering data rates from 1.5 Mbps to 10Gbps. The solution supports up to OC192/STM-64 line rates with both a working and protected 10G interface. Alternatively 4xOC48/STM-16 interfaces is supported. The packet mapper supports up to 128 Virtual Concatenation Groups VCGs), with PPP, LAPS (both X.85 and X.86) and GFP-F encapsulation configurable per VCG.

The TPW192-S is ideal for point-to-point Ethernet Service delivery, such as MEF E-LINE services. Combined with the TPX3000, it is also possible to offer mulitpoint-to-multipoint Ethernet Services such as MEF E-LAN, IETF VPLS and VPN solutions in general. The combined solution is fully customizable allowing support for proprietary backplane interfaces and inclusion of customer specific features. The solution is based on FPGA designs, which can be converted to pin-compatible HardCopy structured ASICs.

Target customers are system providers who require high-capacity, high availability Multiservice Provisioning Platform (MSPP) linecard or microMSPP solutions.
