TPACK introduces 3 new solutions at Globalcomm

Globalcomm, Stand 47051, 5th to 7th June, Chicago, USA

TPACK cordially invites you to visit our stand at the Globalcomm event in Chicago, USA from the 5th to the 7th of June where we will be introducing 3 new linecard solutions. The solutions are targeted at MSPP providers and are designed to address the key issues in transitioning existing telecommunication networks to packet based services and solutions.

TPACK's 10 Gbps Ethernet over NG-SONET/SDH linecard solution is based on the TPX3000 40 Gbps Carrier Packet Engine Ethernet/MPLS Switch and the TPW192-S 10 Gbps Ethernet over NG-SONET/SDH Packet Mapper. This combined solution provides support for both High Order and Low Order VCAT/LCAS as well as CCAT support making it ideal for applications offering data rates from 1.5 Mbps to 10 Gbps. The TPX3000 is a true Carrier Class switch integrating packet processor and traffic manager functionality. It supports Ethernet, MPLS and VPLS packet data and provides a unique dual line-card redundancy solution allowing full non-blocking 40 Gbps packet switching in normal operation and a graceful degradation to 20 Gbps in the event of an error.

The TPW48-P 2.5 Gbps Packet Mapper Solution for NG-PDH/SONET/SDH allows both Ethernet over PDH and Ethernet over SONET/SDH connections to be aggregated and transported over the existing SONET/SDH infrastructure. Based on the widely deployed and field proven TPW48-S 2.5 Gbps Packet Mapper Solution for NG-SONET/SDH , the TPW48-P provides an upgrade path for existing customers to add support for up to 336 DS-1/E1 and up to 48 DS-3/E3 PDH connections using new GFP-F, VCAT and LCAS standards.

TPACK will also present a new solution based on a cooperation with Enigma Semiconductor. The solution combines TPACK's TPX3000 40 Gbps Carrier Packet Engine with Enigma's HybriCore Packet Backplane Interconnect chipset to provide a fully packet based switching solution scalable from 10 Gbps to 2 Tbps. The combined solution provides unrivalled support for both fine-grained and coarse-grained traffic management on a per-subscriber and per-service basis. The solution is ideal for MSPP vendors who wish to transition from a TDM to packet based backplane, but require the same level of quality and reliability.

We look forward to meeting you at the show and if you would like to setup a meeting, then please contact us at email:djb@tpack.net or via our website at http://www.tpack.com/contact.
